Our Story

Love has a way of finding people when they least expect it, slowly drawing two lives together. That’s how Victor and Nadia’s story began in early 2017. They met online—Nadia living in Curaçao and Victor in Bonaire—and their conversations were effortless, like they had known each other for years. For weeks, they spoke every day, but Victor hesitated to take the next step. Eventually, he told Nadia the truth: he didn’t live in Curaçao, but instead of letting the distance keep them apart, he booked a flight to meet her.

When they finally met in person, something clicked. They spent four days together in Curaçao, and by the end of it, they both knew this was something special. A month later, Nadia came to visit Bonaire. She arrived to find Victor’s mother, Mireya, had postponed her birthday party just so Nadia could meet the entire family. On only their second date, Nadia found herself on Klein Bonaire, surrounded by Victor’s relatives, who welcomed her as though she had always been part of their lives. It was overwhelming and wonderful all at once—a memory they would cherish forever.

From that moment, Victor and Nadia made the effort to see each other every month, crossing the sea between Bonaire and Curaçao to be together. When Nadia eventually had to return to the Netherlands, they had the challenge of a long-distance relationship. For a year, they stayed connected, visiting whenever they could, holding on to the love they had built.

During a trip to Miami, they realized they couldn’t live apart any longer. Nadia decided to move to Bonaire, leaving behind the familiar to start a new chapter with Victor. Together, they built a life filled with quiet joys—family gatherings, time with friends, and the simple beauty of shared moments.

In March 2022, they bought their first home together, a milestone that marked the beginning of something even bigger. Just a month later, on a beach surrounded by their loved ones, Victor proposed. It was heartfelt and unassuming, a perfect reflection of their journey together.

Since then, their lives have been filled with love and adventure. They’ve traveled to new places, visited friends and family across the world, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Now, after years of building a life together, they are ready to take the next step and commit to spending forever side by side.

For Victor and Nadia, this day isn’t just the start of their marriage—it’s a celebration of the love that brought them here, the life they’ve built together, and the future they will create. Everyone who has come to share this moment with them is part of their story, and they are deeply grateful for the love and support that surrounds them today.
